These GeoTrust certificates are an optional upgrade that adds a warranty and, at the top level, your verified company identity. From £49 per year, installed for you.

Fields, in order:
- Certificate: the three above, one selected
- Domain: one of the client’s domains with us, with an optional subdomain (www by default). Wildcard hides the subdomain
- Issued to: Individual or Business
- Name; for a business, its registered name
- Country, county or state, telephone
Signed in, 3–5 are filled from the client’s details and can be changed.

What happens next
- You order. Pay at checkout as for anything else.
- GeoTrust checks. For Standard and Wildcard, that the domain is yours, which we handle. For Extended, your registered company, which takes ⟨confirm⟩ working days and may mean a phone call to you.
- We install it. The certificate replaces the free one on your site, with no downtime.
Questions and answers
Do I need one of these?
No. The free certificate on every plan gives the same encryption and the same padlock. Choose one of these if you want the warranty, or if your customers or insurers expect a verified company certificate.
Is the encryption stronger?
No. All three encrypt exactly as the free certificate does. What changes is who stands behind it and what has been checked. Free or paid SSL?
Will visitors see my company name?
With Extended SSL, yes: anyone who opens the certificate’s details sees your verified company. Browsers no longer show it in the address bar.
Can I buy one for a site hosted elsewhere?
No. We sell and install these for sites on our hosting plans.
What happens when it runs out?
It renews each year with your other services. If you cancel, the free certificate takes over and your site stays on HTTPS.
