Overview
The Online Cycle Shop approached Web Design Mattrs to help them transition from Shopify to a more flexible, WordPress-based eCommerce platform. Their goal was to gain greater control over functionality, reduce platform limitations and support both B2C and B2B customers as the business scaled.
Situation
The existing Shopify store was no longer meeting the client’s needs, particularly around advanced payment options, financing and B2B workflows. The client wanted to fully migrate their domain and storefront to WordPress and WooCommerce with minimal downtime and a future-proof setup.
Task
Our role was to plan and deliver a smooth migration, configure WooCommerce with the required extensions, and refine the site’s branding and layout while keeping the CMS intuitive enough for the client to manage day-to-day updates themselves.
Action
We worked closely with the client over several planning sessions to define the best technical approach and timing.
- Set up a dedicated WordPress and WooCommerce environment
- Migrated the domain with minimal service interruption
- Assisted in configuration of payment and financing options, B2B functionality and live chat support
- Customised a client-selected Gutenberg block theme to match their brand
- Refined navigation, mega menus, headers, footers and homepage modules
- Designed responsive hero sections and promotional banners based on client’s artwork
Result
The Online Cycle Shop now runs on a fast, scalable WooCommerce platform tailored to their business needs. The migration was completed smoothly with minimal downtime, and the site continues to be supported through our managed hosting and ongoing maintenance giving the client confidence as they grow.
